Man obviously wants killing people to be a main usage for his blade. Dont ask me why? Maybe he's secretly funding reforming the CSA

He just said "combat". Maybe he just wants to maim his opponent so he can live to tell his tale of woe so that others will know to stay clear.

I'd just like to point out that this thread is 2 1/2 days old and the OP hasn't been back and this is their only post. I really don't think it matters at this point. Bacon.

I'm sure the OP does not care which knife is good for "any" situation. And, had a good laugh at our expense (really? 2 pages?). Questions like the one by the OP, as vague as it is written, are unanswerable and a waste of time.

I will not contribute. Resistance is not futile in this regard.

I would definitely pass on the Heavy Bowie if this is a serious question about a knife for someone in the military going into combat. The sheath sucks and is not MOLLE compatible, its a huge knife (9" blade) and heavy (.95lb), and has no hand guard (bye, bye fingers). I hate to offend anyone who owns one, but its a Taiwan made knife, that is know to break a more often than similar sized survival knives if used too rough.

If you are going into the military, you are going to want a smaller blade (4" to 7" ), lighter weight yet sturdy knife, that has a good sheath. The original Ka-bar, Kabar short, Mark 1, BK 15, Bk-16, and BK-17 are all much better choices.

But let's say you are just a mall ninja that want a huge survival knife, get the BK-7 or BK-9, they are a much better design, USA made, and less likely to break.

Where did you make that up from?

PS, I don't think he's military and those "Taiwanese" knives are tougher than the USA made cro-van

Umm No. The USA knives are made of 1095 Crovan , the Taiwan knives are made of 1085 Carbon.

I think the LHB is cool as hell, and I like the design more than any of the more traditional KABAR designs. For a hard use knife I would go Becker all day every day. It doesn't help that I broke my first LHB!

IMHO, since the OP joined in March, made this post and hasn't chimed in in his own post, or posted anywhere else in the forum in nearly 2 months, it was a troll post.
