Well the temperature has still not risen above freezing so I had to dress warm for my hike again today !

Even the saltwater Inlet was partially frozen...

I'd taken my Dave Farmer Camp knife with me today, I really like this knife for woods-bummin I just wish the scales were a little thicker......

I stopped for some coffee before heading back( That's a nice chunk of fatwood I found at the back of Maisy)...

We have ice all over the place here now. I finally got to break in those stellar tires...it has been fannntassstic.

Hey you should try to make that fire from ice with that ice crystal Pict has.

Never thought about that, I did make a fatwood candle Cody Lundin style with the end split two ways to allow more air to circulate. It didn't really work too well though, maybe because it was quite windy !
 
great pics again man! I too got out for a few hours today, harvested kinnikinik, arbutus leaves, and a big piece of fatwood. The new Active Shooter Bag kicks butt as a woods bag.
