I have several knives that are made with N690 steel and they have proven to have very good blades.

After all it Is an Austrian steel aka German steel! And we all know just how strong and dominating those Germans are!!

Well... Next to Americans and Italians... I'd say Germans fall in 3rd place but still... LOL!

Just jokin'!! But anyway, I do think it is a very good solid steel!!!

Strangely, although they speak German (No, Mr. Obama, they do not speak "Austrian."), Austrians think of themselves as Austrian, excluding that Austrian Hitler.

Darn it!!! My apologies... I was just searching about N690 steel on Google and saw a post about it from here. So I just went to this thread from Google and then logged in. Just did not pay attention to it being an old one or not!!

My cross to bare. My apologies as I will be more diligent with the dates on here henceforth. Again, my apologies.

Leave your cross covered. The need to avoid posting in older threads, a subject beloved of the self-appointed Thread Police, depends on the thread and the sub-forum. Our modes, bless them, will let your know if crosses need to be borne or otherwise.
