N860?

Saw a knife at Knifecenter with this steel. Who makes it? How does it compare with the "regulars" we are used to seeing?

that would be a misprint/mistype. benchmade uses bohler n680, i dont think bohler even has an n860

This is the knife here, they have the model number wrong, steel is wrong etc.

It's a Benchmade design. Jim showed you that the Benchmade site identifies the blade alloy as 8Cr13MoV, a Chinese alloy. Indicating that the knife is produced in mainland China.

The knifecenter still shows the N860, an alloy of which no one has heard.

If it were I, I would believe the Benchmade site rather than the knifecenter site.
