So I got a bunch of free time and am basically stuck in bed so o thought I'd do some rambling about gear and items I think y'all might be into. Some of you maybe familiar with the naa mini revolvers which are American made firearm and they are single action and have a notch on the cylinder so they never have to be carried on a loaded chamber...i with no hesitation will say it's the best gun i ever bought....fit and finish great perfect for short hikes jogs ECT... Got the 22lr version and added the oversized wood grips...they do also have 22mags and conversion cylinders..no there not a 45 but in tight situations (i call it my get off me gun) its easy to deploy due to its size. These are close range guns that are tons of fun.....i use cci 60grain match ammo ....hollow points are pretty pointless because due to the barrel length on mine at least is like a inch maybe a little more. I never ever leave my house without it not even to get the mail.....and for the price they are worth getting.....trust me u'll carry ot and use it more than you think

Thanks for the review. I've heard they are very well made little revolvers. Could be an option for a nonpermissive environment.

Yes they are well made and yes they ase easy to get into permissive places....hell you can even get belt buckle holsters for them...and I clean mine with a little clp and a q-tip....lol

I bought one several years ago from a shop goin' out of business. I paid $150 for the .22lr with the 7/8" barrel bran new, but I never carry it. Neat little thing tho.

Yes I agree. I have a 22 with oversized rosewood grips.

I keep it in my fifth pocket when wearing jeans, the quality on these is very impressive.

I have one...it's been MIA for over 5 years...keep thinking it will turn up someday. Most likely it was stolen. Pisses me off whenever I think about it, which is often, because the belt buckle holster I bought sits in my tool chest as a constant reminder. They are cute little novelty guns IMO but I still liked it as a backup to my backup to my backup. In other words there's no excuse not to carry it...dang thing is the size of a cigarette lighter.

Does anyone know of someone who makes a kydex holster for these with a tec-lol...not that I could buy the holster now but id like to know for future reference.

I'd also love to see some of you more creative guys make some grips for these.....bet you guys could come up with some great grips

My step dad has a cap and ball version and my cousin has the 22lr. Both are very cool! I've been kicking around the idea of buying one for around 10yrs.

I bet Dave Brown could make a nice kydex holster with Tek-Lok:thumbup:

I've been thinking about getting one for about ten years too:D

Do it...its kinda like my spyderfly(the small balisong) I got 1 just cuz it was a great deal and I've used the crap outta that thing. The NAA minis seem kinda pointless and more of a novelty but youll learn real quick how handy they are and how often youll find them in your pocket....and 22lr and mags are a pretty impressive and up close and personal it'll do some damage or at least make the bad guy stop doing whatever he was doing.....i got mine for 125 and its the best money I've ever spent on a gun........i love my glocks but i will always have a mini on me.

Have had a couple but people keep offering me enough to let them go. I am really thinking I need the Pug though. Really a sweet looking little piece.

I guess I'm the odd man out, I had a NAA Mini .22LR and a Freedom Arms Mini .22 Mag Boot gun, I really tried to like them and should have kept the Freedom Arms, but after a few range sessions they just sat in the safe so I sold them. If I need a small gun I always chose to pack a S&W snub or an LCP.
I'm not one that sells his firearms easily, I tend to keep almost every one I have ever bought, but I got to tell you, I never missed the Mini's once they were gone.

My experience has never found the NAA revolvers to be amazingly accurate but I never figured I would be using it at ranges more than a few feet. Doesn't have to be pin point at 2 feet. They are just fun.

I have one in 22lr and I love it! It goes in my key pocket every day. my own little gun to get me to a gun. Its not the most lethal pistol but from a few inches away its gonna get somebody off of you for at least long enough to give you the advantage.

Just saw a set of case hardened NAAs online. Guess they were a special edition at some point. I am now on a quest to find one.

Thanks for this thread Lazy Otter, this is now going to cost me money.LOL

Garth

I think the case hardened can be ordered special thru the naa site.....under curious, custom collectables part of the firearms section
