NAA mini

I've got one with a 1 1/8 inch barrel, in 22 mag, with a conversion cylinder, as well as the outlandish, folding grip. Its a highly concealable package, but a last ditch option IMHO. Not really my idea of a range toy, but some find them enjoyable to shoot. The quality is pleasantly surprising given the price. I'd say get one if your funds allow it.

IMG_2401.jpgIMG_2403.jpgI do like the NAA revolvers. I like the PUG and want to get one in hand. Just wish they
were a little bigger. I do like pocket pistols and derringers. Always a fan of the Remington O/U Derringer, and the Sharps 4 barrel. I just picked up this Micro Desert
Eagle in 380 cal. Solid as hell. Have not had a chance to shoot it yet, hope to this week. weighs in at 13.8 oz with empty mag. Hope it performs as well as it feels.Beretta is coming out with the small PICO very soon, another NANO type. I believe its on the website now. NANO did not take off like expected, some like it some don't. Good luck with your piece.

I think maybe its not just the NAA I like but all mico pistols I can help but be fascinated by them. there just cool.

Beef, I agree. I shot my Micro Desert Eagle for the first time. Ran a quick 30 rds of PMC Bronze 90 gr FMJ. No malfunctions so far. I never shot a .380 before,
and it has a "snappy" recoil. Rather stout. I kept hearing how the .380 is a "wimpy" round, but I would not want to be on the other end of the barrel. The pistol
snaps back on recoil, kind a pushes straight back, instead of a muzzle flip like a Glock, etc, and the web of my hand between the thumb and first finger took notice. I tried finding a rubber recoil pad at Hogue and a few places, but nobody had one to fit my pistol. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it. Thanks, TAC

T.A.C. I'm not a big fan of .380 but your right I still wouldn't want to be on the other end. I had a Ruger LC9 and it was quite snappy, so was the LCP in .380. say what you will about the round being ineffective, but I'm willing to bet most if not all of the guys who say that, haven't been shot with one. I'm pretty sure it will do the trick ha ha

Havent really found a pocket pistol that didnt feel snappy. Guess it just comes with the territory. I guess though if I ever have to use it I wont care if it snaps.

The best pocket rocket I've had the pleasure of owning is my Kahr PM9. There's a reason every other small auto you look at compares to the PM9. But, with hot loads, even it want's to rise a bit. Pics or it didn't happen, so...
Here 'tis with pearce finger grip extension and a lil' grip tape ou front.

This is inside the pocket holster a buddy o' mine mocked up for me, prints a lot like a second wallet. The keyway cut in it affords a good grip while keeping the trigger finger clear of the trigger guard until the gun clears the pocket.

And here's a comparison pic next to a large Saddleback leather wallet.

I bought one of the original NAA Mini's back in 1980 and wore it on it's belt buckle when I lived in Texas. Then I moved back to NJ and sold it. Now I'm in MA and the NAA revolvers can't be sold in this state by dealers but I was able to snatch up an NAA Wasp from a private owner a short time ago. Now, it's my EDC-gun-to-carry-when-I'm-not-carrying-a-gun gun.

This is a gun I consider a neat toy. I had one but sold it off and I'll explain the reasoning. I consider myself a average pistol shot. I consider the .22 to be far to weak to carry as a primary defense pistol. Ever. Combine those to with the fact that mine wouldn't stay on a paper plate at 10' and I rarely like to invite attackers to wrestle, and someone offering me $300 for it and the belt buckle and it went bye bye. I would get another just for a back up to my back up.

ETA: I also worked as a prison guard for about 5 years which taught me a few things about handguns. 1. A lot of criminals have been shot before and are not scared to be shot again. They know with medical treatment if it's not instantly fatal they have a very good chance of survival, or believe this to be true. 2. Most used guns in their acts of violence and I don't want to be in a gun fight with a tiny 22 that I can't shoot very well. But I would absolutely with out a doubt take it over nothing. But not over my NMFSH.

I bought one in .22 LR and 22 WMR about 20 years ago when I had my FFL. I tried to like them, but finally sold them.
They are made very well, but thats the only thing I liked about them.

I would often forget the .22 LR was in my pocket and it about got me into trouble once. I went into the main post office(inside the Federal building) in town with a friend that was picking up tax forms. They were out on the rack and we were told to go up to the top floor. We took the elevator up and as soon as the door opened there was a walk through metal detector about 10 feet from the door because all of the Federal judges are on that floor. I remembered I had the gun then. I told the guard I would just wait right there as my friend was the only one needing the forms. Thankfully the guard didn't ask me to walk through it, and we just talked until my friend got back.
Not sure what they would've done had they found out I had the gun in pocket. Thats was the last day I carried one.
My Berretta 950 is as small as I carry now.
