How thick are these blades? Specifically the 3.5 inch models. Also, how is the cutting performance compared to an Opinel?

Thanks!

2.72mm by my calipers, and a grind 10° per side. An Opinel, while more difficult to approximate due to the convex primary grind, is about 4° per side. Both have a secondary bevel, though the Nagao Higonokami is almost worthy of being called a microbevel.

It's a nasty cutter like Opinel, but doesn't have the slicing power that Opinels have (zero with micro bevel vs full flat with micro bevel).

Yeah, I usually EDC either an Opinel or Higonokami. I find the former better slicer and cutter, no doubt, but the latter its more aestethically pleasing to me and it's easy to open one handed, while the Opi is always a two-handed knife for me.

I also like the feeling of the metal handle much more than the Opinel wooden handle, the round shape it's pretty uncomfortable IMO.
