Anyone have any experience with these swords. They are inexpensive and seem well made. Most are made from 5160 steel. Is that a quality steel for swordmaking?
I have never heard of the swords you are asking about but I have heard knife/sword makers call 5160 the "King of Steels" on occasion.
I have worked quite a bit with it and find it to be very *very* tough if heat treated properly and it is my favorite steel for blades....swords or otherwise.
