Nail Nick advice

What do you guys recommend for the best method in creating a nail nick? For years I have been using my dremel to gouge an embarrassingly amateur looking nail nick. Any insights are greatly appreciated.

The only method I've heard of is to use the edge of a dovetail mill in a milling machine or drill press with a cross slide.

I like a fly cutter. You can get a small one (1 1/8" head) from MSC fairly cheap. The small ones use 1/4" lathe bits which you can shape as needed. Also, easy to adjust the curring radius by moving the bit in or out. The only drawback is that you really need a milling machine to get good results.
