I guess it somewhat depends on the size of the knife, but on larger folders, I wholeheartedly agree. My Bucks and Shrades all have good nicks, but I just bought a gorgeous Boker scout that has a terribly small and shallow one.I wish nail nicks were a bit deeper/ more pronounced overall. Anybody here agree? I find some knives have too shallow a nick, especially trapper models. I know this is more for the slipjoint audience. But all are welcome to chime in.
Well there is the "new" "modern" way to do a nail nick such as these S35VN blades .I wish nail nicks were a bit deeper/ more pronounced overall. Anybody here agree? I find some knives have too shallow a nick, especially trapper models. I know this is more for the slipjoint audience. But all are welcome to chime in.

Glad to help .Thank you for the in depth replies! I think all the way through is a great idea. I will investigate further.
