Nakamura 484-1 in Carbon Fiber....WOW

Picked mine up at recon 1 today. I'm loving it so far.

I didn't have a 484. So with an upgraded model available now it seemed like the right time for me to add one.

I tend to agree. Why this model? It already came in M390. I'm sure there are more volume models that would benefit from the material upgrade such as the mini-grip, 530, 707, etc.
I too would like to know the motivation behind offering then 484-1. Did it sell much better than we/I know?
- I wish they would upgrade the steel in the 530/531 and possibly offer M390. As much as I like the way that the 484 looks, it's way too thick for comfortable carry for me.

I didn't love my 940-1, I fully expect to carry my 484-1 in the rotation (it should be here next week).

Does anyone know if BM makes a deep carry pocket clip that fits the 484-1?

I was quite surprised to see this model released. I didn't think the original 484 sold all that well. I'm sure I'm wrong though. Used ones seemed to stay on the classifieds for awhile.
Having said that I'd love to try one out. I thought the original 484 was priced high for what you got and I feel the same for the 484-1. Nice looking knife and the ones I picked up felt nice.
