Nakamura 484 and 484-1 stamping Variations

I've seen the steel stamp behind and under the thumb stud from authorized dealers. Anyone else notice this?

Yes, that does appear to be the case looking at a lot of online pics. I've never handled a Nakamura though. Very interesting knife. Do you have one?

I just grabbed one from the r/knifeswap forum. I’ve had one before and they are really cool for a smaller knife. The action is awesome and I like M390. The Japanese faux carved scales look cool and the grip is pretty sure. Getting really hard to find. Not sure why Benchmade DC’d them. Thanks for the comment !
