Naked!

Good Job! You should force the patina with a vinegar bath. Just soak it in any vinegar overnight (2 days would be better). You'll get a nice dark color on it that will be rust resistant.

i currently have the handles wrapped in a vinegar soaked paper towel. probably gonna let it sit over night.

Thats really neat looking. Maybe I'll try it with one of mine. I also was drawn here by the misleading thread title lol.

Makes me want to go al natural.
One question. Does taking the coating off effect the sheaths retention?
I would hate to lose that nice snap.

Dang it. Went downstairs found some paint stripper. The old thick stuff that works good. Poured some in the deep end of a paint roller pan. Took the paracord off. Half an hour later - NAKED. I like it. It has a better sound to it when I run it down the flat side of Sharpmaker fine stone. No, I will probable not buff it up and make it shiny. I like the natural look of the ESEE 1095. It has a hint of green color to it.
