Good Job! You should force the patina with a vinegar bath. Just soak it in any vinegar overnight (2 days would be better). You'll get a nice dark color on it that will be rust resistant.
Dang it. Went downstairs found some paint stripper. The old thick stuff that works good. Poured some in the deep end of a paint roller pan. Took the paracord off. Half an hour later - NAKED. I like it. It has a better sound to it when I run it down the flat side of Sharpmaker fine stone. No, I will probable not buff it up and make it shiny. I like the natural look of the ESEE 1095. It has a hint of green color to it.
