I stripped down one of my boss street users. It was black micarta on a black blade. I gave it a bit of satin. I'm going to try out that thin ground convexed edge on my Saturday morning thick slab bacon...
Just paint stripper and elbow grease. Soaked the whole knife for ten minutes then wiped it down. Wash with hot water and dish soap. Dry thoroughly. 00 and 0000 steel wool and metal polish. Ceramic stones and stropped.....
A bit of carbon between the finger guard and choil that I left alone. That's it. It was the easiest that I've got to strip. I didn't even buy her a drink!
Nice job ! That looks pretty much factory . I find on smaller blades that I far prefer a blade with no coating . I just find a knife works better AND of corse looks better as well .
