I finally did it. I guess it is better that way, more identifiable as my name is on my website too. Only sad thing is that in English it seems my name is for a girl more than a guy. :(

I have used Padrig so much over the past 10 years or so that it is now a nickname so I felt comfortable either way but I guess a real name is more professional looking.

Pad….oups…. Pat ;)

Patrick, talk to me about your heritage. I'm Cajun French. Dem names o yours sounds farmiliar yea.

Long hair? I wish. Believe me those days are long gone Mike. ;)

As far as Paddy it sounds too much like Patty to me.

Pat

I know a couple of Pat in Maine, all women.

I guess I'll just stay with Patrice and use an unshaved pics for my avatar. ;)

Filddleback, any french speaking relatives or is if too far in your heritage?

My dad and all his siblings speak fluent French. I'm really choppy. My Momo and Pawpaw (grandmoather and grandfather) spoke mostly French.

OK, so I got to know, exactly how did you go about changing your name? You go before the judge or something. :D:D:D

Seriously when I first became a member of this forum I chose the handle I use now. However I can see now that when I upgrade my forum experience it would be very helpful to have my screen name and my makers mark compatible.

So as you can see I am serious, as to why I am asking.
I have looked at the option for edit your profile but see no option for a name change. Please explain the details of the name change!!

Paddy doesn't sound anything like Patty, if you say it with an Irish accent. A Guinness in your hand may help.

lol :D:D You had my hopes up there for a while.

Frank, yes the Irish accents makes all the difference. But since I don't drink they might actually send somebody to break something if I used it. ;)

Thanks Bruce, it's uncommon to say the least.

Pat

Wow , Patrice . Besides my mother a " Desrosier " you may be the only 2 conuks I ever meet that did not drink . I always blamed my habit on the Irish/Conuk influence .

You can continue to do so. I am pretty sure I am the oddball. My parents are France and I still don't like wine.
