I don't know what name I should use on my knives!I came up with
River Blades,CatClaw,Davis Custom Knives and B.Davis Custom Knives.
What do Yall think I should do?

Oh I am new here.I have been taught by Randy Mackey of Blanket,TX.
I have a Bader BIII grinder and my shop is almost ready to go I cant wait!
I live in Mullin,TX and have been disabled for 8 years now.I am 35 male and have a brain tumor. Its not cancer THANK GOD!!Well just a little back ground on me not trying to tell my troubles.
I love this site and hope one day I maybe of help to some one!
Thank You
B.Davis

In my humble opinion.....
B.Davis

I stamp mine with my 3 initial - BAC becuase Culberson is too many letters to get stamped in a straight line! Also I'm only on knife #11, but hooked for life and my knife making friend DE ain't helping any!

I think this works. I can even have a stamp made for this.

Not really. My machinest is doing CNC name stamps for me. B. I'd be glad to draw something up for you.:D

I use "D. Schott" I would just use "schott" but it appears there was a knifemaker with that last name and OF COURSE he was a theif and made off with some people's money. I still get emails from angry people assuming I am him, but he was making knives when i was still chasing girls in high school.

I just googled my name and knives(as per Ed Caffrey's advice that Justin just passed along) and found this.

"Newberry castrating knife
a pincer-like instrument with a block at the end of one blade and a chisel-pointed knife on the other. When the sharp blade is closed on the exposed spermatic cord, it compresses the cord against the block."

A couple of folks have mentioned me during this thread, so I will give you my viewpoint on marking your knives:

Whatever you choose, you want to ensure that it is readily identifiable WITH YOU. I'm fortunate in that I'm the only "Caffrey" that I know of making knives, so for me its easy. I mark one side of the ricasso with "CAFFREY", and the other side with my "MS" stamp.

The point being that you want to mark your knives in such a manner that people can look at the mark, and with little effort, find exactly who you are and where your at. Over the years I've had a large number of folks walk into my shop with a knife that had either initials or some weird logo on it, and ask me to tell them who had made the knife, because they wanted to order another. Most of them were disappointed when I could not help them. It was actually to my benefit because often times they would wind up ordering a knife from me when they could not find the maker. The bottom line is..... if they cannot identify the knife with YOU, then they cannot locate you, and cannot order from you. Take some time, and put some thought into the mark you place on your knives.... and stick with it. A good choice will benefit you in more ways than you know.

Ok how bout this ?

B.Davis
Mullin,TX

will that work or just go with B.Davis?

Thank all of Yall for the help very much!!

soemthing to keep in mind is the amount of room you have on a blade. I was going to use L. Hensley but the etch I wanted didnt get the lines thick enough to read with all of that I settled for just Hensley (I am the only Hensley I know making knives.) so I then worked on a design that I liked and got good feedback on from friends, and my Teacher (Thanks Bruce) so print it up and work on it think of how you are going to apply it and how much room you have. here is a larger print of mine Not the best photo and on a bigger knife.

Another option for marking knives is on the spine....as long as your stamp fits the smallest thickness blades you use, you can make it as long as you want. The added bonus is that if you mess it up, its pretty easy to just grind it down and re-do it.
Here's one I did in that way:
