Actually reading up on the original name choice for Urgent Fury really makes me hope that the new name bares some kind of connection to the original.
It was designed for some special guys back in a day. Who participated in the Operation Urgent Fury. I really hope that whatever name we end up on references the original name choice.
I hope when down the line people search for the origin of this knife and it's name, they come across, and are reminded of historic events, of those who have fought and sacrificed for us in the past. And the timing couldn't be more perfect as it's 40th anniversary of the Operation Urgent Fury.
To reference the whole thing.
HEART OPERATION (HEART OP)
OPERATION HEART
ANNIVERSARY URGENT FURY (It's actually going to be a 40th year anniversary of the operation Urgent Fury on the 25th of October, so the timing couldn't be better, and considering that ash1 was Anniversary Steal Heart, it would fit perfectly)
EDIT: to add more names
HEART OF GRANADA (HOG)
ANNIVERSARY HEART OF GRANADA (AHOG)
I did read that SEALs participated in there so one of the names could be
TEAM HEART.
Ideally, if Jerry can reach out to the unit that requested the knife and see if they can give a first name of the person they would want to commemorate or nominate. But, it's been 40 years so going to be hard.
Example would be
BUTCHER'S HEART after Machinist Mate 1st Kenneth J. Butcher, a SEAL who was lost in the Operation.
Just my 2 cents. Sorry for long post but I thought it was important. And I'm posting from the phone with atrocious auto correct, sorry about that too.
