"Carcharodon" After the latin name for the Great White Shark. Carcharodon carcharias. When I went with my first impression of this knife, that is what popped into my mind.

Hey Robert, call me old fashioned but I have a hard time with knives named after mythical creatures or violent or unpleasant acts (the Disembowler! The Limb Cleaver!). I like to think of a good knife as being comfortable and pleasent to want to carry. Your knife strikes me that way and so I would suggest the "Little Buddy". Since it is a term of endearment and not meant to be a literal description of the knife it will tend to stand out and be rememebered like the name Little John in the Robin Hood saga. If you go with something like "Flayer of Infidels" when somebody sees it they are going to be thinking hey there's "Thor's Nosepick! or maybe its the Transmorficator, no,no I've got it! It's the Duodenum Bifricator! Yes! Yes! I'm sure of it!".
