Shouldn't have given away the blade length. That was too easy for you old hogs.

Morimotom got it right. It is a dog father that I modified last night. I need a new name for it now ;) It is now super fast and wickedly sharp for a 10" blade.
 
my first thought was a Basic 9 mod.... but I think it's a Dogfather mod... I think it's the DF choil.

Did you put an asymetrical edge on that beast... or is the same bevel on the other side too? :confused:

The cutting edge is symetrical. The top edges are just false edges. It was done to remove some more weight to make it faster handling.

that things looks awesome. I was actually thinking of doing the same to mine because it is such a KHukuri-ish feeling knife. It will loose a lot of it's chopping effectiveness, but it will move a lot more like my SHBM.

Yes, the dogfather was a little too blade heavy for me. That is why I decided to modify it. It suits me much better now. It is now twice as fast and still can chop very well. The reprofiled edge helps alot also. I will take more pics when I take it out to beat it up some more.
