Name what Emerson's you have.

I almost forgot to mention, aside to my current Emerson collection, I also have a custom CQC-5 in the works that is being modded by a second party who shall remain nameless, with 24k solid gold handle scales inlayed with authentic top of the line diamonds, emeralds, and sapphires. It will cost me an arm and leg though. I'm expecting the job to cost a little more than my gold Rolex Submariner and Panerai Luminor put together! (In total around $53,000) In the end it will all be worth it as I will possess the most expensive knife known to man. I should probably contact the Guinness Book of world records when it is all finished. Pics will be sure to come in time.
Wow! Don't forget the pics!!

my meager collection compared to some here:

CQC7 BTS
CQC7 V
Mini CQC7 A BTS
Mini A100BT
A100 Satin

Hmm...interesting, would like to see pics if this becomes reality. Still won't be the most expensive though. There's many other more expensive knives, which are equally, if not more ornate. Stuff from Buster Warenski come to mind..

Cheers and Regards,
Nick

Wow, that is amazing! I have heard of Buster Warenski but was never familiar with any of his knives. You're right about his work. I did a little more research and the most expensive knife that has ever been sold was made by him, it sold for $1,200,000. If I had known about this particular knife several years back I probably would have bought it for my collection.

I guess my CQC-5 will be far far away from being the most expensive knife known to man. Regardless, it will still be a true gem though!

Wow, you must be a very rich man, mere mortals like myself would never be able to afford it. But even if you had that amount, i don't think the client who ordered it would have wanted to sell it. Anyway...let's see the cqc-5 you speak about when it's done.

Best Regards,
Nick

Yes, Valerian steel forged and heat treated in the dark realms of Hell by the devil himself. :D

In all seriousness the blade will remain the same. Nothing beats a blade made by Mr. Emerson himself. The only thing I will be swapping out are both handle scales with the gold jewel inlayed ones that are currently being made. It's going to be a heavy knife for sure!

This thread better be pic heavy when you get it!
Sounds amazing.

I'm new here and have just recently got in to knives. I have

2003 CQC7-BW with wave
2011 Gentleman Jim satin with wave

I have had the CQC7 since 2003 and it goes everywhere (where it is legal) with me. Even in my Jammie's pocket in bed.
It been a part of me for so long now, ifI don't have it on me, I feel naked. It was always that one knife I would ever need. It gets used many times every day and I truly love it, but, when I saw a picture of the Gentleman Jim I had to have one, now I have a dilemma, which knife to carry every day. Actually because I can't decide have been carrying both, is that silly ?

Next Emerson will be a Commander I think.
