You strip the coating off the SHBM??? I may give it a whirl. Got access to a flat table top grinder/sander thing and a whole lotta sand paper :D :eek:

The coating was removed by someone else, I think with a bead blaster. I don't think I would use a power sander, maybe a chemical stripper, but hand sanding is tough, I did that on a MS.

acetone works real well.
 
My first (and at the moment, only) Busse- the Desert Anorexic Badger Attack. It's thin (for a Busse!), sharp, tough, and good looking. I wouldn't want to chop kindling with it, but it's well suited for just about anything else I do with a knife.
