Naming Blades

Rusty, do you know like the 18" WWll better than the 16.5, all things considered? YOu once said the 16.5 was the best all around. Forgive me if I didn't get this right.

The Hanuman special ( Hanuman handle, WW2 blade ) seemed the perfect balance.

The shop one WW2 w/ 16.5 blade & wood handle was the right one for taking when you didn't know what would be needed. But it had no discernable spirit.

The 16.5 Deep Bellied Bura with horn handle had it all. Not 18" but more heft in the front. And the spirit of a bull.

The Sher 18" wood handle fulfills the promise of the Hanuman. I hope that with tender loving care and careful mating to my hand it will take the Bura's place.

16.5 or 18 makes little difference. It's what your heart tells you is inside. The 18 should, technically be the better of the two. But damn I'm not going to pass up another 16.5 horn handled Bura. I don't want either of the ones I gave away back. They are in their rightful places.

I need time to make friends with the Sher.

To my thinking, you need an 18 and a 16.5 for a back-up. If nothing else, your right hand is stronger than your left.:D

I have an immense GRS that is powerful. I have a Chitlangi that rules...but, my WW II 16.5- is special.
