I guess I'm just dense, but can someone tell me what the tool is behind the saw?

Given the name of the thread I certainly hope its something to do with roostersI’m dense also.
I believe it is a castration hookGiven the name of the thread I certainly hope its something to do with roosters![]()
Thank you!Oh I like that very much. Super sweet that is. Great photo too.
What would you like to know about it?You have to tell us more......!
Saw cuts off a roosters spur. Other blade is a castration hook.I would like to know the purpose of the saw and other tool - it's appears to be made for a very specific purpose, what that is I have no earthly idea
I'd like to know who made it. (and will they sell replacement sawblades?)What would you like to know about it?
The Daniels family knife brand makes these. The same folks that make tuna valley knives. I haven’t asked or needed a new blade but you’d think surely you could get a replacement although they’re limited to 50 pieces per handle material.I'd like to know who made it. (and will they sell replacement sawblades?)
I didn't know the Napanoch Knife Company name had been bought and that new knives were being made under that label.
A quick google search showed:
"The Napanoch Knife Co. is an old stamp name which is revitalized now by the Daniels family. These are an unusual limited line of pocket knives that replicate the folding tools from the late 1800's through the early 1900's. These pocket knives will feature various blade tools such as: saw, punch, bottle openers and other tool blades which give you that old world feel. Every part and blade will be handcrafted in the historic town of Titusville, Pennsylvania with time tested steel and materials"

They’re not made by GEC. They’re made by the same people that make tuna valley knives. Is this a GEC private label?
the saw looks cool, but that other tool is very unique.
Is Titusville, PA the Silicon Valley of trad knives?
The Daniels family owns the brand. Do they actually run their own factory? The Daniels family knife brand makes these. The same folks that make tuna valley knives. They have them made by a custom maker. A former master cutler of queen I do believe but don’t quote me on that. Seems like that is right though. Check them out great knives. The Daniels family owns the brand. Do they actually run their own factory?
It looks very nice. They have them made by a custom maker. A former master cutler of queen I do believe but don’t quote me on that. Seems like that is right though. Check them out great knives.
Master cutler Jeff Schley from Titusville is the maker of napanoch so not actually the same person that makes their tuna valley knives. It is all confusing because they don’t have a factory. Thanks for the kind words they’re built really well as good as any knife I’ve owned. It looks very nice.
