Narrow Blades?

I'm making a knife for my brother and I screwed up... Maybe. He has wanted a SOG Seal Pup for a while so I made a Pupesque style blade (I don't know what it is called. It looks like a mutant clip point.) The handle is around 1 1/8 inch wide and the blade is the same at its widest. However, the Ricasso came out pretty narrow. It is only 3/4 inch wide. It is 9/64 inch thick 1084 and the HT and Temper I am going to follow should make a blade of 58 RC. It just seems SO narrow and it looks like it can snap in an instant. I know I can't fix it but I want to warn him about it before he goes off and destroys it by accident.

Plenty thick enough, particularly at 58 hrc.
It should flex a LOT before it breaks.
