narrow trailing point game knife

This is a slight trailing point design I find useful for a lot of things- It makes a good knife for doing filet trimming on a beeve, works well for fish and dove, and can joint a bunny out quick and easy.

Overall the knife is 8 inches long, with the blade length at 3 5/8 inches of sharp edge, 3 7/8 from front of scales.

The handle is narrow, but thick, with a contour that is secure for a choked forward grip or a back choked grip with the tension on the little fingers. Wood is cocobolo and the pins are 1/8 inch stainless.

The blade is 15N20 steel, with a differential temper for toughness. Tang is .095 with a slight taper going forward on the blade. The edge is a shallow taper convex grind to a zero edge. Blade is a semi-polished forge finish in a well defined pebble pattern.

Sheath is a Koyote Girl rh pouch sheath. Deep set on the handle and tight fitting, it's a secure ride. Double needle hand stitched and water formed, 7 ounce leather will last forever.

Asking $145, including priority mail shipping (outside of US just costs a bit more), paypal, money order, checks all good.

Thanks again!

Very nice Christof! And kudos to Koyotegirl too.

P.S. Not sure about you, but I can tell a knifemakers hands a mile away. We can never get them clean and what we have left of fingernails is a joke. ;)
