I used to follow Nascar, but after Dale Earnhardt's death, my interest began to wane. It seems many of the older drivers I am familiar with are on their way out and I don't even recognize a lot of the younger drivers.

Ditto, what NASCAR did to Bill Simpson after Dale's death was the biggest load of crap I'd ever seen in my life.
To vilify and castigate the very MAN that made their sport possible in order to cover for Dale's own "ironheaded" proclivities toward seatbelts, seat and mountings (as no-one but Dale himself was allowed to touch and were improperly done as noted to Dale many times by Bill) which resulted in his death, just was not the correct thing to do.
I have not watched a complete NASCAR race since and won't ever again.
