Native 5 maxamet?

Is is the pivot friction? I assumed it was the spring. My smooth G10 S90V Native is linerless as well. Can't flick that open either.

I’d think a combination of both.

Yes please! A G10 Maxamet Manix is what the world needs. I’ve come close to buying the LW model, but I’m not a fan of Spyderco’s Bi-Directional FRN. I usually don’t mind FRN, but the one and only Spyderco I had in it(Hap40 Stretch) showed me that I really dislike the way it feels in hand. I know I’m certainly in the minority on that. A G10 Maxamet Manix should be easy to do too, since they share the same blade as the LW’s, but that could be said about the Native as well.

Just for the record, the Manix LW handle is FRCP, not FRN. The feel in hand is different. I greatly prefer the lightweight version to the G-10 version myself.

My issues isn’t really with the FRN/FRCP, it’s the Bi-Directional texturing Spyderco uses. I actually really like the way my mini Ritter’s Valox, which is basically FRN/FRCP, which is why I tend to blame their texturing. Like I said I know I’m in the minority for sure, but I dislike it.

I knew the LW’s used something somewhat different than legitimate FRN, I just remember those three letters better than FRCP, haha.

I have a LW maxamet Native 5 and I have no "flex issue" with the handle.
