• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Native 5 Sprint s110v blade drive me crazy!!

I don't know if we can say it anymore, grind the smaller side until it evens out. You can't fix asymetery by being symmetric.

No Jason I made it many times before with the same result and I wasted a lot of the blade!!! The primary grind is really asymetric I think!!

Just gotta even her out, it's going to take time and some irregular grinding but eventually you will get it done.

Simple way to check... mount it in a vise, measure the flats w/ an Angle Cube, then measure the primary grind and you can see if it's off or not =) But I am with Jason on this one, it's probably either needing to be ground more on the shorter side or else your angles are off on that side on the sharpmaker and you aren't holding it perfectly up and down.

Too bad there isn't anyone listed as a Wicked Edge user in Italy... you could just send it to them. How much would it be to ship to Spain?

Josh, I tried with my Lansky too. About my sharpmaker and the way I use it, I can say I use it for all my knives without any problem... This is the time I have such a result.

At this point you should probably just leave it how it is. There's nothing else you can really do if you don't want to even out the bevels. Is it at least sharp now?

Both those bevels look really wide for 30 degrees, which I assume is 15 degrees per side. If both sides were 3.1mm then that would make a thickness of 1.6mm (1/16") at the point that the bevel meets the main grind.

Thanks, that would be about right with one bevel being 1.6mm wide and the other 3.1. The blade must be a lot thicker than I'd have expected.
