Native durable enough....?

I gave mine to my brother... if it holds up to his abuse, maybe I will pick up another.

5 minutes after getting it, he was using it to cut shingles.
If anyone can break something, its him... he uses all equiment as though it is disposable. Is a good mindset really.

All right guys, my Native seems to have held up just fine. I've been doing small woodwork with it, cutting through cardboard, messing with fishing tackle, hacking off a few small branches, starting a fire using the spine and a mag bar, impressing my friends, and just enjoying carrying it for a couple of days. The finger choil really helps when doing small tedious tasks with the Native. I can't wait until I catch a fish so I can try filleting it with this (I went fishing today and didn't catch anything :grumpy:)). Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I haven't had to sharpen the Native yet, it's still shaving hair just fine and cutting little lines in my "thumb test" of the sharpness.

Cutting shingles

Man, now that's one tough-use knife

Anybody have pics of a Native, Delica and/or Salt 1 series side by side?
I haven't bought a new Spydie in years, was waiting on the new Dyad but it turned out to be smaller than i wanted.
The Manix is not available so i'm thinking of buying a Delica 4 or a Native 3 this summer.
I really like the look of the Native blade shape/size but i'm not crazy about choils.
I like the improvements in the Delica 4 but i like the Native blade design better.
I was even considering a Salt 1 as well.
Comparative pics of any or all side by side would be great!
:)

The pacific salt is nice, but it's almost exactly like my endura 4 except the salt won't rust. Unless you are really going to use it around water a lot, I would recommend the regular steels. H-1 is great for around water (literally unrustable), but it holds it's blade edge quite similar to AUS-8. I prefer to carry my Endura 4 over the pacific salt due to edge retention, unless of course I'm going fishing :D.

ps. Can't go wrong with any of the spydercos you mentioned.
