can I just have a moment with you spydie lovers here. I have been drooling over this Native IV for a couple months and I still haven't bit the bullet so to speak. I only own a couple of spyderco's, a Native and a G10 Caly 3 to name two, and I just feel so compelled to ask about this Native. You know when you see a knife....and you just KNOW that you have to own that. Like the knife sitting before you on the computer screen or in the glass case will somehow make your life that much better when it's in your pocket; that's what I feel when I see this Native. So, to those of you who own one....will you please answer a few questions?

1. Are there washers or is it like the Caly 3?

2. Do you carry it or is it specifically for your collection, or do you own two? Explain how you make the decision.

3. Hows the clip feel? I'm used to the low riding wire clip....and I love it.

4. Is it the same size and ergonomics as all of the other natives? It looks slimmer.

5. Does someone happen to have a picture of it in their hand?

That's pretty much the only questions I have. VG-10 is my favorite blade steel and I LOVE flat grinds. Thank you for your help in advance!

4. Whats the Carbon Fiber like? On my track car I had a lot of Carbon Fiber parts such as the hood, etc. It was a smooth checkered CF with a clear coat over it. Is the knife material the same? Or is it grippy?

I have some partial answers. Wish I had more for ya...
1. See Pic but it does not look to have washers between the blade and the liners.

2. Just got it today so no carry time.

3. Looking at the clip it will ride higher than the Caly 3 but again no carry time on it yet.

4. The CF is smother than on the Sage. Much more like the Caly 3 CF. It is shiny but I would not call it slick (SS is slick to me). Again I just got mine today and have no carry time so I do not know how it will feel during use. By your description it seems similar to your track car.

5. I do not have any of the other Natives at this time so I could not say.

6. See Below.

that helps so much thank you. I am going to have to buy it now. It's the exact size and everything I was looking for.

I was hoping for some bronze washers but I'm not totally sure if they even matter. As long as the deployment is rock solid as usual I don't see why they would need washers
