Native or Delica 4?

My hnads don't fit the Native at all, and I found it to be much more difficult to open than the Delica 4 due to it's small, partially covered hole when closed. The Native III has far better ergos than the Native, but I still like the Delica as a user way more.

I would get a Delica 4 Wave.

Nice picture, I love how the waved models have the ability to conceal themselves as a normal, everyday Delica when closed. ;)

Is it possible to open bear bottle with this "wave" thingy?

Thanks, Vassili.

If you can get the bear into the bottle, I don't think you'll want to let him out. He's going to be pretty cranky.

Trout, the Native feels pretty good to me. The old Delica feels slightly better though... I will probably go with the Native now and then get the Delica down the road.
Since the Native feels good in your hand, that's the order I'd get them in :)

I'll add another fly to the ointment....

Have you handled the Salt I?
It has the same handle as the older Delica 3 but the thumb-hole is larger, the ridges on the "hump" are very nice, and the H-1 blade-steel is rust proof.
I also like the blade shape very much.

Good luck,
Allen.

Always play it safe, get all of them.

Persoanl preference is what this comes down to imho, have a feel or two and go from there.

Good luck.

WR

Normally I'd favor the ergonomics on the Native, but Waved spydies are too fun to play with. The Native will probably be supported for years to come, but Waved knives are another question.
