As analogies go, you might say this is pretty dumb, but it struck me........so, as an E-Type Jaguar is to the Lambsfoot......would the Corvette be to the Native.....?!

Am I correct, was it the amazingly talent Jared Oeser who dreamed up this lovely pattern....?

I would guess there's a small number of makers who have made in a similar style, and here is one from Willie Paulsen, SA.

Please share yours too...

Probably the the most impressive Custom I've yet seen. Not souless, mechanical and dreary, like so many are I'm afraid:rolleyes: It has correct proportions and carefully thought out luminosity  What are the scales?

Regards, Will

That's random jigging alright

An interesting broad knife, looks exceptional yes but I suspect it compliments the hand even better

Thanks, Will

Anyone else see a Sawby Combat Utility influence?

- yes, never seen one before. Thank you, there sure is a similarity in some ways.

Also saw the Native as an adaptation of the wonderful Lambsfoot - more angular blade/accentuated swedge together with a deeper more pronounced handle

Jason Taber's "Nato" blade is quite Lambsfoot-y in my opinion. I'm a big fan.

Three beauties David. Without redesigning the pattern, do you know of any with a more rounded butt end versus the squared off look?

Thank you. There aren’t any Native patterns I can think of, but Ricardo Romano’s Dino pattern is similar to the Native but with a less squared butt end. There are a few makers are doing Dinos these days.

Thanks. It may be time to see if any of my favorite makers think it's worth a shot.
