I like my old s30v hollow ground Native better than my standard Delica 4 vg10 saber ground.
I *think* I like my Delica wharncliff FFG s30v better than either though. It is an absolute light saber slicer.

I prefer the design of the native but my hands are large enough that it is a choil only design for me. Because of that, delica. More handle room and can still choke up on it.

Both are great knives, but Delica gets my vote. I also prefer the Chaparral over the Native; it's kind of a Native/Sage hybrid, imo.

But the Native platform really shines in its larger version, the Native Chief. The Native Chief is probably my overall favourite Spyderco--at least for the moment ;) .

If the delica was made in the Golden facility and didn't frequently come with poor fit/finish and lock play, then maybe I'd have more of them. As it is, I'd pick the native.

I personally prefer the Delica, but there's really no telling which model one will prefer until they get it in hand, as I find to be the case with much of the Spyderco line. Many rave about the Native being and ideal EDC with perfect ergonomics, and I don't doubt that it is for them. I have a Native 5 LW and I like it fine, but honestly it left me with a bit of a 'meh' feeling compared to what the hype had me expecting.

Likewise, the PM2 is considered the quintessential Spyderco by many; but there are others (myself included) that vastly prefer the Manix and would step over a whole collection of PM2's to get to one Manix in a particular configuration. Then again, I'm quite fond of my Stretch2, which is often said to be in ergonomics like a LW version of the PM2. Go figure 🤷‍♂️. Plus, I'm a fan of the smaller Para3 even though I rarely like mini versions of knife designs 🤔. There honestly doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason for me when it comes to which Spyderco models I prefer, I just know it when I feel it.

Point being, both are great cutting tools that will serve you well, but although a poll will provide an interesting data point, I'm not sure if it can help you (the OP) make the correct purchase decision for you.

Perhaps it can help you decide which one to get first though ;)

Another Delica guy here, had 2 Natives and sold them.

Even though I prefer the Delica, I really liked the back lock on the Native. It is so tight and strong u can even loosen the pivot screw and the lock still keeps the knife play free.

I've got three Delicas and my daughter carries one which I have handled. Out of four examples, none has any of those negative properties, other than being made in Seki, which I do not consider to be a negative.
