Will Spyderco ever make a Native with G10 scales? I saw they made them for Bladeforums at one time.

I love the design. I am going to buy a Native 3. I would love to have that model with G10 handles.

Hi Stavrou0,

We'll be introducing the native4 with carbon fiber scales. Once the new design is proven, we'll make other variations. Probably FRN & G-10 or ?

I am waiting impatiently and will check the Spyderco Webpage everyday. Please make a G10 scaled Native. :D ...soon.

Still my favorite knife of all:thumbup:I have Spyrderco's,Kershaw's, A couple Benchmade's on and on.For me, the Native is simply the best, better than all the rest:p Hey I want a bright red one, or dark green or ??

Love my Native but will the new one come with screw pivot instead of rivet? It is probably unnecessary but it's the only thing I like least about my Native.

Thanks, now I don't have anything I like least with the Native! Steel type and relative cost with the current Native? Same price?
According to what I've read, steel will be VG-10 handles will be CF with dual steel liners, clip will be Delica IV type, knife will be drilled for 4 way clip mounting. US street price on the sites taking pre-orders is in the $160-$170 range, so am guessing MSRP will be around $240.

Nice, I would buy one in a heartbeat it it came in anything other than FRN. While being extremely lightweight, it just looks and feels so chinsey.

New Native IV to have Carbon Fiber handles.

OK, any update from the Big Guy or Big Gal (Sal or Taz) on when we can expect to be able to get our hands on these?

*drooling over a possible G10 Native*
I personally prefer S30V though. The edge tends to be more aggressive than VG-10 edges.

I still say if I could get the plain old S30V Native with a flat grind for under $50 that'd be sweet... But then, I can't complain about the current grind either, cuts like a...err...sharp blade through butter?

Native IV is a sweet piece. I had a chance to handle it at Blade and I liked the feel of it. Think it's even better than the C41, which is a great knife. Sal did a really superb job of keeping the weight down. In spite of having dual steel liners, it tips the scale at 3.2 oz. That's only a hair over half an ounce heavier than the FRN C41.
