Natrix

this guy really points it out. and he had less problems than me.

but he says what i want to say. and i hate that guys channel.

Can't stand this channel. He's the clone dude who can't understand why anyone would buy the real thing when clones are available.
No thank you.

no your absolutely correct, as I said I hate his channel too, but he really makes a good point and that video is worth a watch. He goes over how bad it really is and the other knives in the market that are better for the cost. The natrix is a POS. So is luvthenknives but as I said he really did a home run with this video. I wish he would stop doing clones, but he doesn't care with all that youtube cash rolling in and the losers that all support his clones.

FWIW - I actually liked this knife....it met with my expectations for an entry level $40 knife. Lots of people seem to really have it out for this one, and so far I have only heard of one lemon and that is easily rectified with return or warranty. If you dont like speedsafe, don't buy it. If you have a problem with 8cr steel, dont buy it. If you expect a 777, dont buy it. If you want an entry level blade with sculpted g10, subframelock, and a reliable warranty to back you up then this is a decent option.

Agreed.

if you look at the comments on some of the other video reviews there are some others with warped blades, broken stop pins and overall crap knife in general. and if you watch the video above it really hits it out of the park.

not saying your wrong, but i do not agree with you and many others dont either.

I watched the video. He doesn't like AO, so he bought an AO and complained.

He apparently never had G10 with a texture - looks like the Natrix has a rougher texture than the example knife that he displayed in his video.

He also compares the Natrix to a "truck-stop knife", and proclaims himself "sophisticated".

The original 777 did not feel robust, it was thin and light, which is the point of lightweight materials and the sub-frame lock.

To buy a knife that has features you don't like or don't fully understand and then proclaim it a truck-stop knife due to said is silly.

As to Mo2 - your complaint of "they used locktite on the fasteners" is also silly. If you have two screws in opposing ends of a barrel fastener, you have to use two drivers, one on each side, to remove them. One side will typically come out and you will have the barrel fastener affixed to the other side, but the knife will come apart. You can use a heat gun to heat up the loctite to soften it for removal. Most of the makers use Loctite, and the ones I have seen use the blue threadlocker (removable) or an industrial that is white, which I can't say but would assume it is also made to be removable.

Did you ever post a decent picture of your "warped" blade? I have yet to see a bent or warped blade in any of the major brands, including offshore models.

I can't wait until Kershawguy gets these back in stock - will make for good gifts and need one for me to beat on.

I don't believe random quotes in comment sections without actually seeing proof, and even those are small in number. I have a hard time believing even Chinese QC would let a batch of warped blades slip by. As to the one guy that claims to have had the stop pin "fall out after cutting 2 pieces of cardboard", I don't believe that without proof either.

All due respect...even your own video doesn't show a visible "warp" in the blade. Off center yes, but I cant see a curve though its likely due to the poor video. You quick flick it open and closed...start to finish its barely 1min long, half of that its either blurry or the knife is out of frame. You also stated you took yours apart....how do we know you didn't put it together wrong? I'll assume you know what you are doing and the blade in that example was off center due to incorrect assembly at the factory, but the "warp" is something I have yet to see in any videos. You don't like it that's fine, send it in for repair or get a refund. This is an entry level budget knife, not a CRK:)

For most people I think the value for the dollar is there, many people will get a kick out of the knife, and get features not found in any other production knife at that price point. If you get a lemon, which is bound to happen with the volumes they produce, Kershaw has a fantastic warranty. As long as expectations are realistic I think most people will like it (unless you are not a speedsafe fan).

I think it's a perfectly fine knife for the price, if Kershaw were to upgrade the steel and materials overall I think they would then be competing with their own knife in the ZT0770. Just my guess as to why they did it the way they did.

I totally agree. I just received my Natrix from member "bigolegator" and I will say this, if the one I received is a good representation of the model, then the majority of Natrix buyers are going to be well pleased. This one is spot on as far as blade centering and overall fit and finish. The action is a bit stiff but still opens well and locks up solid. The blade looks perfectly straight and the grinds appear to be even on both sides. The edge is well finished , evenly cut, and will shave arm hair. For the price it appears to be great quality knife. I am well pleased with it and it's going straight into my daily rotation. It is a very pretty and stylish knife.

My specimen is excellent. Quiet frankly, the best Chinese Kershaw model I've ever had. Simply amazing design, materials and build quality for the money. I could not be more pleased.
