Does anyone take ginseng on a regular basis ? I don,t take it regularly so much as when I know I,ll be walking that extra mile or doing something strenuous and I want to be alert and refreshed . I,m not saying its a miracle cure or instant energy . It works well enough for me to continue using it .
I talked to a couple of people who sell the liquid in vials and they say there is honey or sugar in there to make it palatable . This isn,t a cheap short lasted sugar buzz that leaves you with an empty feeling after . The effect is longer lasting with no evident side effects .

I,m not saying I reinvented the wheel . There are proabably Cantina members who use it more than I and are well versed in its health benefits .Heck it might even work better than Viagra ! L:O:L

Why would you want to drink that nasty tasting foreign stuff made by Commies when you can get a better product right here in the USA.

My neighbor, Cletus, makes this stuff in his garage that you can smoke, snort, or shoot up and will keep you alert and refreshed for days.

Help crank up the economy. Buy American.

Kevin, a lot of the energy drinks have ginseng in them. Everyonce in awhile I'll drink one of those. Sometimes when I'm on vacation I'll drink them all the time. Can't say I've noticed the top of my head coming off.

that other american made stuff will loosen your teeth and hair, put a damper on your marriage and job, and in general burn away preciouis time given to you.

Brother Rice, I am hoping that was said with a great deal of tongue in cheek, or the tooth fairy must have done a recall on your Wisdom Teeth. ;)

Please tell Cletus I'll but whatever he is making. Maybe it will go goos with MRE's.

i find that some as simple as a multivitamin if i haven't been eating perfectly does a lot. so does popping some vitamin B complex - Trader Joes (and others) have sub-lingual (under tongue) teeny tiny B things that provide like 5000000x the B complex you need. apparently especially useful to guys. voom, energy. you can deplete what you had easily and then you tire. useful if you partake of the alcohol.

also useful, without the caffeine or too much carbs, is "emergen c" packets. add to water. think of it as gatorade with b complexes, C, and minerals and stuff. tasty, good. many flavors.

i also like "monster fuel" (diet of course). tasty, provides mostly the same benefits as emergen-c, but LOTS of caffeine too - about the same per volume of liquid as coffee, without the heartburn.

then we have "yerba mate" products, a kind of "herbal tea", more an infusion if you're picky (i think). essentially, south american holly plant twigs and shit. there's a whole wiki page on it - fascinating. summary: it's caffeine, but seems more moderate on the system. provides various minerals too, and vigor and shiny eyes and big muscles and ... tasty too. nicer on the system than coffee.

vegetables - see multivitamin above - eat right. really. have a few basics. don't drink or smoke or play too much. get your sleep. it helps more than pills. still, when you're stressed to the max, and need to get that extra, there ARE some useful things.

Sublingual = below tongue ? . Ya learn something new every day . Even if I ate better than I do I think I would still benefit from Ginseng . I consider it a different kind of food not a supplement . Bladtite those things fromTrader Johns sound interesting . The vitamin B especially . I already take 500 mg of vitamin C a day and double up if I feel a sniffle . Haven,t had a cold in two years .

I used to take it on a regular basis when I was in Asia. It seemed to help with my "energy" as well as my concentration. It is just too expensive here and I find that I don't like the taste of the Korean variety as much as the one from Indonesia. Ginseng tea is also a very good alternative but the taste takes some getting used to.

Trader JOEs :> under tongue, yar. put the tab under your tongue, and wait. it dissolves very quickly there, and is very quickly absorbed. no swallowing. fast effect. zoom. just don't over do it. like anything.

Steve,
Cletus says you will have to wait till he cooks up the next batch. This one is all taken. He said don't worry about the MRE's as you won't have to eat for days when you use this stuff.

If you really need something now, he says Leroy, who lives across the tracks has something that will rock your world and crack you up. Leroy also has women. Cletus knows.

Himalayan Ginseng ? I,m not even gonna touch that one . Energy in one form or another .
I agree a healthy diet is the best . In fact it proabably holds 1st , 2nd, 3rd , and 4rth places in the right things to do . I do find that most of what I like to supplement my diet with tastes like food . It does not taste like a chemical or an additive if I may use additive figuratively . I am fairly certain there are forms of vitamin b that fill this bill.

there's also magical hornet spit, and bee pollen... (see other thread about yak killer hornets)...

the japanese are HUGE are bee ... extracts. really. to the point of synthesizing some of them. what's in them? no idea. makes you go zoooom apparently, brings new life back to the willy, the moon align, and the planets hum. good medicine? couldn't tell ya, but they CONSUME tons of it.

Extracts , extrusions ? why quibble ? What do you expect of expectorate ?
Its all just spit in the ocean to me .L:O:L
