I was in Alaska for a couple of years, didn't see any volcanos, but did see plenty of lights.

That picture is beautifull.
It is importan to see the big picture though.

When you live downwind of the ashfall, in the wintertime, it doesn't seem so pretty anymore.

Active volcanoes aren't nice things to live around.
