Took the family to the Natural Bridge State Park. It used to be a marble quarry and is famous for having the only marble dam and a significant natural bridge. This place is pretty neat, the marble is amazing. The pics don't really give you sense of the depth of the gorge, but it is pretty deep:

Awesome place. That marble is awesome. I love natural bridges. Is that a remora gearslinger? How you like it? Does it store alot?

Great looking park, I love those old quarry walls. That gorge is pretty neat too. Do you have any pics of the bridge?

Somebody mentioned Maxpedition but all I saw was a lovely brown t-shirt :D:thumbup:

Cmdr. - Yep, I am a serious gear nut, how about you?;)

CRM - I tried to get a shot of the bridge from underneath, but I got sun:grumpy:. I need to go to the Pitdog school of photography...

J - The Remora is about 1/2 the size of a Jumbo, great for urban settings(I avoid the crap out of urban settings though...) and short hikes. Still hold the basics:

I love gear!!! ;)

Seriously, Maxpedition packs are cool along with Camelbaks and assorted others. I'm really wanting to try one of the large Maxpeditions like the Monsoon for a lot of room.

I seriously need to get one of the Jumbo Fatboys. A man is just not a man without a Murse! :D

I'm still looking for a set up for a decent holster inside a small Maxpedition for concealed carry in the small packs. Something for a Glock 19 and spare mags/light.

Thanks for showing the contents of the pack - I'm still learning and take it all in.

I don't know which way I want to go one one though - either the standard or the Type S...

If I carry with a standard holster for CC then it would be the Type S. If I could find a secure, easy (I realize coming out of a pack it would be slower) in-pack holster then it would be standard.

I think I've decided on standard Khaki colors though...

KGD - That is my very favorite pair of winter gloves at the moment. They are warm and allow a lot of dexterity (I can take individual bills out of a wallet with them on..). Highly recommended:thumbup:

CMDR - Good luck. Mine fits the .45 really well, but I have to qualify my opinion by saying that I don't carry much these days (for business reasons). I bet there are some guys here who could really help out..

Pit - Thanks, you need to open that photography school soon....

Is that the Natural Bridge in Kentucky on the Mountian Parkway ?
If so thats only about 2hrs from my house :)

Coaldigger - That would be Natural Bridge State Park in North Adams, Mass.. I'd l'd love to see the one down your way sometime...

Well let me know when your down this way & we might meet up & take a hike up to the bridge ! Its AWSOME ! It's hard for me to get time off from work but who knows :D
