I have one that was made by JJ Martinez from Santa Cruz Spain. It's a big folder compared to my usual EDC stuff, but I like it alot.

Those are very cool, fun knives, but the pivot pin is soft and my business partner sheared it off flicking the blade out, landed about a foot away from his infant son. Something to consider!

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

What I don't understand, in looking at these knives, is once you open the blade how do you hang onto such a small, skinny handle? Doesn't look very functional to me.

Good comments all

The problem I have seen with these blades is that the imported ones meaning traditional ones are not built very well

These were meant primarily as weapons but their janky build quality precludes them from that for me

Now if you are looking for a decent built one you would have to go to something Like the Cold Steel variant or the high end custom route

I have one made by Joker in Spain - with olive wood handles and 440C blade. It's by no means the best built knife in the world, but for the price, it holds its own. I don't know if I'd use it as a primary blade (or have it replace a heavy duty modern folder), but I enjoy having and using it as I do any traditional knife.

Does anyone know of a custom maker who makes a navaja?
The traditional Spanish large ratcheting clasp lock folder.
I know the Crawford Perfigo is based on this design, but I'm looking for something more traditional.

if you want some things to recent ...I went to him there two years ago, the very things ineterressante a decent price . and remains in the tradition
