When I posted pictures of the Navy Seal dress combat knife, that was made for Gene Wentz, some of you asked me to post photos of the presentation when it took place.

I worked with Genes wife, Bessie, in getting her husband to the presentation and also in supplying information about Gene and the Seals. Thanks Bessie, you were great.
Genes fishing buddy, David Z. supplied transportation and a whole lot of BS and deception to help pull this thing off. Dave, I appreciate you my friend.
One of Genes sons was able to attend. Thanks for coming, Brandon. It was nice to meet you. Thank you, Moon, Justin and Jeff.

In the top few pictures, I am presenting Gene with a Navy Seal survival kit that I made up; it contained: a very small knife with a 3/4 inch blade, a blues harp, snake bite kit, water tight match holder a pocket size air horn and a compass, for when you are lost is what I told Gene.

After we shook hands and he thanked me for my efforts, he was presented with the dress combat knife that was made for him.
He was surprised. Which of course, was the idea.

The day was sunny and warm, the food was tasty and the camaraderie was something to be cherished.

Enough chatter from me, here are the photos.

Jim Grecni sculpted and cast the trident inlay.

Looks like it was a great day. That trident came out awesome and compliments the damascus very nice. Wish I could have come down for some poppers!
