This is what I've been using for heat treating and forging my carbon steel knives.
Completely relined the forge in January 2011 (last month), used once and decided that I really don't use it too often these days to keep it.
From the manufacturer:
Equipped with insulated doors on both ends for easy entry and removal of Damascus billets. Comes fitted for propane, but can be configured for natural gas. Regulator and Hose included, operates off a standard 20lb propane tank, the same type used for barbecue grills Reaches 2350 degrees. The heat Chamber is 4" x 4 1/2" x 13 1/2". Exhaust port on one door is 3" x 2". Ship weight is 48 lbs.
It's a capable and portable forge. I heat treat all my 5160 knives in it -from skinners to camp knives. I've also used it to make stainless laminate -O1 core (push dagger is not included in the sale of the forge, it is just an example of what can be done with it):
Price is SOLD (UPS Ground shipped in the conus).
Thanks!
