Near By Makers

I have a question about near-by makers. Ok, several questions. 1 Is there a maker near southern New Jersey? 2 Is there a good good hammer in that happens near this area? That being relative to a couple hour drive. The reasons behind these 2 questions are..... I have read the books. How to make knives, The $50 knife shop, And just about every scrap of information I can find. I made around 6 knives. They are butt ugly. And thats being nice! I wanted to see about someone actually saying, " hey You moron. Thats not how its done." So if you can help someone close by call me a moron. Please let me know
