Today the coating of my cgSFNO got all scuffed up during some chopping (sorry no pics) and when I got home I stripped this lil' lady.

To my surprise no INFI dimples underneath the coating this time, but a near mint dc finish.

This saves me a lot of work ;-)
Thankx Busse Crew and especially Wookie and Amy to get me this one.

Sorry, but that's almost certainly a fake. Send it me and I'll investigate it for you.

I know, I know, but I've got to get hold of an SFNO somehow.

Can't take credit for this try though, got the idea from the "Ken44 reliable?" thread.

WOW!! I have an old Satin Jack that would be awesome if it were the same...

Wow, that looks fantastic! It looks like a factory double-cut finish. I need to find me some CG SFNOs

I traded for a user HOGFSH with standard scales and before I sent it into the shop for canvas Mags I stripped her (since I was also going to have them blast it)...to my surprise it was already double cut as well. There were no dimples, only a few deeper belt marks on the blade. I figure that this is what determined that it would received a coating before it left the shop the first time.

Congrats on the lack of work to do:thumbup:

Amazing... I guess Busse bead blasts all their coated SFNO's

That seriously looks like that is how you got it straight from Busse...

I didn't realize the Busse logo would still be there after stripping off the coating. It was removed when I stripped my AD. Does it go right onto the blade on all the larger models?
