Here I was, walking through the bush and minding my own business when I noticed out of the corner of my eye a vicious Bear waiting to ambush me..

I’m glad that I had my trusty SFNO/prize AD combo with me and I was able to fend him off with it. :D:D

I started to run thinking discretion was the better part of valor when a Wallaby jumped in front of me and held its pouch open saying quick jump in here, I can hop faster than you can run.

It’s a good job that I’d been into that bottle of Old Kedge over proof Rum before I left home, who knows, my reflexes might not have been half as good. :)

Ian.

I love it! Can't sleep, it's 12.30 in the morning here.

Tell me another story Uncle Ian. Can this one have furry little rabbits in it?
Pleaseeeeeeeee...... :D

Ian,
Great pics, thanks for sharing them

I honestly don't know what I'd do if I saw an animal that large in a tree, the largest thing I see around here are squirrels ;)

:D:D

Hey, it's an EWOK. I'd be more worrid about the Chewbaca's running around.

Great pics and story Ian!!! Your lucky to have all those types of animals around.

My stories would only include opposum's and skunk's. And Deer, Deer everywhere. Mostly in the grill of your vehicle!

Speaking seriously now.
Koala Bears are hard to find in the bush unless you know where to look, in the old days they were as common as the Possums we have. Wallaby’s are just about everywhere.

I spotted an enormous buck Kangaroo a week or two ago while walking on a new property that we had acquired for bush rock, this I pay royalties for, I’ve been a bushman all of my life and have never seen one as well muscled as this fella, when he stood up to run away from me he was probably twice the height of the doe he was with, there were about forty in the mob, but this fella really stood out.
Not too many Aussies would have seen one the size of this fella.

How would you like to wake up after a big night and see this fell standing at the bottom of the bed. :D:D

I know nothing about Kangaroos but man that one looks massive!!

Hey Ian is that the same SFNO you pictured in your thread titled "out with the outlaws"? What blade finish does it have, Tan or DCBB?

Hi Silas,
I'ts TAN. and yes, its the same knife

Also in my opinion it would be my best all round bush knife, a bit big for a dedicated skinner but will skin beautifully.
Ian

He’d be a tough old customer. :barf: I’d rather be chewing a steak that came off the doe though. :D
Ian.

That is one mean looking beast. He looks like he ready to kick the crap out of someone. I'd hate to be the roo that gets caught with his lady friend next to him.

Oh and by the way Uncle Ian, how did the emu loose his wings? ;)

That’s a story that can’t be told without the clap sticks and the didgeridoo in the background. ;):D

Hey hey, this is a family forum. . . I don't think we need to hear about the "clap" or your "Didgeridoo". .  ;)

Cool pics!!!!

I don't think I've ever been on here without laughing! That was good.

:D :D
