How long does it hold an edge?

I have the wharncliff. It's pretty soft steel. It holds the edge pretty decent. Just make sure you check it out first. The one I bought has uneven bevel grind. You can get it really sharp too. Has a tendency to roll than chip so that's good.
 
What? It's a carbon fiber neck knife. Light, rustproof, useful for defensive applications. Boker makes some, along with a few custom makers. They're not unheard of, or even that uncommon.

What kind of an edge do they get?
 
Not even able to slice paper. They're really meant to be used more as shanks than knives.
