Neck knife for EDC? If so, how?

I got a Carter neck knife about 6 months ago. I thought neck knives were silly, so I bought the sheath for it. Have not used sheath. Absolutely love the knife to death. Neck knives are not silly.

I need to make a breakaway device for mine. Compared to me, Murphy was a lucky optimist.

Now I can laugh with my MAN PURSE while all of you choke with those cords around your necks...

MUAHAHAHAH

neck knife for edc carry seems too much of a hassle and uncomfortable. I dont even like wearing a watch!

I EDC my Boker Plus Gnome, but not around my neck. I either:

1. slide my belt through the paracord loops and wear it on my belt.

I do alike with my Alan Folt's Minimalist. But horizontally, along a belt.
Really great EDC knife!

Take the core out of 550 cord. Then slide ball chain into the hollowed out 550 shell. Melt and roll the ends tight to the ends of the ball chain. If you want to get fancy a little shrink tube at the ends keeps things clean.
Seems like a lot of bother. Why not just use the "naked" ball chain?

I wear an ID badge around my neck at work and often carry a necker of some kind on the weekends and use ball chain on all of them for safety reasons. It seems just as comfortable, if not more so, than nylon straps or paracord.

The neck knife I carry is on my belt. I don't like the feel of a dangling knife.

I use a ball chain fed through the outer part of a piece of paracord.

Cut the P-cord about an inch longer than the ball chain.

Looks like P-cord and doesn't pull hair but breaks like the ball chain.

I love neck knives ... very handy !

Has anyone had any problems with their sheaths and corrosion? I wore my Shivworks lil' loco every day for summer and my body chemistry absorbed the eyelets on the sheath. I had Phil Smith redo all of them and add one more to the sheath. I need to figure out how to keep this from happening again.
