Neck knife for horizontal belt carry

Thank you everybody for your replies. Small fixed blades seem to be larger than my intention on this purchase so neck knife size is really where I'm gonna be at on this one. The Bradford3 looks amazing and I would definitely need to up my price a little bit which I'm fine with to get the carbon fiber scales but I think it's just a little too large. If anybody by chance has a Becker BK14 and a Bradford 3 to show comparison picks I would very much appreciate it.

+1 on the Guardian 3, I'll also throw in Evans Knife & Tool Companion.

Dave ... " Horsewright" ... might be able to give you exactly what you want if you go up towards the price range of the Bradford 3 ...

Again I love my Bradford knives the 3.5 is on my to try list ... but Dave's work is beautiful and a custom with a sheath of the quality he offers ... that's hard to beat.

I just weighed four I have here in their sheaths. From 3.5 oz to 4.5 oz, so hardly gonna tire a guy out lugging em around. Two were hollow ground (Coyote model) and two were full flat ground, (Gordo model). The Coyotes were 6.25 inches oal and the Gordos were 5.25". Handle materials were ironwood, bocote, blue jigged bone and natural bone with cocobolo spacer. Three were AEB-L @62 RC one was high carbon damascus at 60 RC.

Two of the knives mentioned above are my Gordo model. I personally edc this model as does the wife and we both carry horizontal crossdraw above our left front pockets.

My wife and I at the same branding:

My own personal one I hollow ground as an experiment.

This size and shape its simply not as effective as the full flat grind. Gonna build me something else. But probably a Gordo again cause its just right, size wise.

The wife's. Same knife just flat ground instead of hollow ground. I've made and sold hundreds of these. FFG is the way to go here.

Point is depending on the size and shape of the knife ya choose ffg may be the way to go not hollow ground.

Dammit Dave stop tempting me!!! ;)

Oh my, they are nice. What is the one in the bottom left corner called? The one with the bright handle.

Hard to answer. Seems that 2.5 to 3 inch blade in a small package that can carry light enough. I'd rather something different than a flat grind and dont mind a wider blade.

The Evans Knife and tool Companion is a great knife for this role. Also while I know it doesn’t have scales the Brous Silent Soldier has a double ring type handle that is very comfortable to grip. My favourite brous model is the Ranger.

If you’re considering something Bradford guardian 3 sized but less expensive give the Spyderco Streetbeat lightweight a try. Imho it is one of the most comfortable edc sized fixies on the market.

I liked my Landi(picked up here on the knifemakers section) so much that I got four more, in various handle colors, to give as gifts. $55 or 60, can't remember. Check that forum often and you'll be surprised how nice a knife you can get for under $100.

Even smaller, this little Anchor Forge

+1 on the Landi PSK, mine is in carbon fiber and A2 steel, once you cut with it, it seems just the right size. Good 4 finger grip.

Lastly, the CS Mini Pendleton hunter has been mentioned in the past threads. Also, one I like for just being plain pretty but have not used yet is the Fallkniven WM1.
