Neck knife users: prefer para-cord wrap or scales on your handle?

I've been using neck knives for a couple of years now. I much prefer scales.

2 things I don't like about paracord wrapped handles. First is that they don't feel too good to me especially when cutting a lot of media. Second is that I wash my knives often and paracord wraps stink to high heaven when they get wet and don't dry properly.

Been solo carrying neck knives more frequently and much prefer scales. I like to be able to get a comfy grip especially when I'm putting some force behind my cuts.

You can dip the cord in resin to alleviate that problem. :)

I prefer scales, this is an older Murray Carter one, riding in a nice Hale Storm sheath thanks again to JEFFREY and Hale Storm, see my short review here
