I would also recommend the SPOT. You can get the AUS-6 models off the Spyderco webite for $40. I have 2 SPOTS now, but teh smarter one with micarta scales stays at home. I prefer teh thinner black Spot without the scales and I have been carrying it EDC for more than 2 months. Didn't like the sheath in the beginning, but after I loosened the tension screws a bit it actually works quite well.
