neck knife?

And if we're talking about the kind of danger that a properly done execution by hanging causes, breaking the neck rather than slow strangulation...
I wonder how much of a shock load paracord can stand anyway.

Valid point. Shock load vs a human neck? Mythbusters anyone? Even the 550 paracord doesn't like shock loads but against a windpipe or bones/skin I would assume (because of it's small diameter and strength) anything pulling it hard enough to snap it would have already done enough damage to the human body.

I still would agree that the strangulation aspect is far and few in-between.

I think when people don't like something or dislike the idea of something, they start to rationalize as to why they don't or shouldn't like it. It's easier to just say, "I don't like that" or "I prefer something different." Instead, they go to great lengths to try to base their personal preference on the threat of something else.

Nothing wrong with that!

Now, imagine neck knife fans making up elaborate situations where you could castrate yourself with pocket carry. That's the dynamic. :D

I have never heard of a strangulation by neck knife, but I did hear of a guy that got the neck of his T-shirt caught and choked to death.

BAN T-SHIRTS!!

I don't trust shirt collars so I wear wrestling singlets for safety. Same principle as a treestand safety harness of I get hung up on something. :D

That's rather strange. It appears as though there is no human being in that thing yet there is some type of very small penis bump. :D

I hunt in a lone wolf climbing stand and when I hunt I'm carrying either a rc4 or a hest around my neck because its quiet. If I carried one on my belt it would make noise every time time I move.

I've always found the premise of strangulation due to neck carry of a knife rather bizarre myself. With most of the set-ups I've seen to "compensate" for this, I'd be more worried about losing my knife than my life. In the outdoors, neck carry is just so damn handy. I do agree with Joben about working with machinery. In that situation I would just tuck the knife in my shirt as I would with any necklace. I've been eyeing that new Izula ll, and if I do pick up one, no doubt it'll be neck carry for me.
